The end of my last fall semester...

The semester is finally over! Definitely my hardest semester yet; I feel; like I hardly slept in November. And I turned in almost 200 pages in the final week of the semester!
My parents visited at the beginning of November! It was so fun introducing them to all of my friends and the place I call home for most of the year.
Some friends and I met Rachael halfway between her home and CU for her birthday dinner:)

We celebrated birthdays with a night out for dinner!
Sleepover!
 Good movie:)
I went with Rachael to her grandparents' home in PA. Me, Alyssa, and Rachael made a music video;)

Christmas Party!
50 books checked out by the end of the semester...

Now I am enjoying being home sleeping, reading, playing piano, and just relaxing!

Fall Break

As usual, better late than never!

Alex and I went to Rachael's house for fall break a couple of weekends ago :) It was a wonderful time of relaxing, eating, and spending time with my English buddies!

The fur coat I am wearing was almost $3,000!!

At the Covered Bridge Festival

Love her :)
Good times!

MIA

I'm a terrible blogger.  And I'm very sorry about that.  Here's a recap of the last two months of my life!

Hunter and I spent an evening in Minneapolis before I went back to school.  We ate at Savoy's pizza for dinner (delicious!) and then I took him to the Walker Sculpture Garden since he had never been before.

My family got a pontoon! And yes, it's orange. Be jealous.

All the Premo ladies went to a play and then out for dinner :)

Made it back to Ohio for my last year!

My mom had a layover in Columbus and I got to see her:)

Reunited and it feels soo good! :) We went sailing (our yearly tradition) and I ended up falling off the boat and slightly fracturing my ninth rib. Go me! I amaze myself at how talented I am.

My wonderful friend Rachael visited :) so us English buddies spent a day together

I went home for a weekend in September! I got to watch Hunter's football game, spend time with my family, and see my best friends :)

My friends and I spent an evening taking pictures in a beautiful sunflower field, eating ice cream, and watching a movie together :)

God has blessed me with some pretty wonderful friends and memories!

I can see clearly now...

...the glasses are gone! I can't believe it finally happened. I've wanted LASIK for as long as I can remember and I was finally able to have the procedure done. People laugh at me because the surgery hasn't even been around as long as the time it has been since I first got glasses, but it felt like forever to me. It's not that I hated my glasses entirely, but not having glasses is just so convenient. Although there was a period from 6th-10th grade where I would only wear my glasses when I really needed them (like in class when I was looking at the board), I eventually grew to love my glasses. They were just a part of who I was. I am looking forward to not having them in the future though :)

English Buddy Reunion!

I met up with my two English buddies this past weekend in Indiana! It was so much fun spending time talking and laughing with them. Rachael got to show us all around her hometown :) Unfortunately, Rachael won't be coming back to school this year :( so I have a feeling we will be making many more trips to visit her!

3-D Puzzle

Kelly and I worked for 18 hours on a 3-D puzzle of Venice, Italy and we finally completed it last night! My grandpa used to have tons of 3-D puzzles around his house and we got a couple of his. Our next project is going to be New York City and it has 2,000 more pieces to it than this one!

a beautiful wedding

I got to see my lovely friends again this past weekend for McKinley's wedding...so nice to see them all so soon after we left school!

Matt and McKinley's wedding was beautifully simple-it very much fitted them. The ceremony was a bit chilly, but the sun did end up coming out and warming everyone up a bit. The reception was at a camp and decorated beautifully with gauze-y fabric, twinkle lights and wildflowers :)

 The beautiful bride!

 With the married couple!
Thanks, Tyler, for letting us crash at your place :)

At the airport...

I realize again I have done a terrible job at updating my blog. I truly am sorry, you have no reason to continue accepting my apologies ;) all you can do is hope I get my act together and blog all the time!

Anywho, I'm just chillin at the airport for a couple of hours until I get on my flight to Rhode Island. The Minneapolis/St. Paul airport finally caught up with the times and got free wi-fi. It's about time!

One year ago yesterday, I arrived in London with Shannon! While I wish I could be there again, this weekend should be fun with my college friends at a wedding for a friend in upstate New York! In case you're wondering why I am flying into Rhode Island, it is because I am driving to New York tomorrow with one of my friends from her home in Massachusetts :)

Well, I am off to eat lunch by myself. The only highlight is that I get to eat Chick-Fil-A :)

my traveling mom

I am jealous of what my mom gets to do for a living. Not so much the dealing-with-annoying-people part, but the flying-the-globe part.

My mom made it her goal to send me a postcard every week that she worked when I was at school, and here is the outcome:

Lots of fun postcards! I love seeing these in my mailbox :)

I am HOME. Finally. I'm still recovering from the end of the semester, but I'm already busy on beginning my summer :)

I can promise you many more blog posts from here on out. I'll actually have time now!

aha! moments

You know those days where it just hits you in the face how much God loves you and you can't stop smiling about it?

It's that kind of day for me. God is awesome :)

Caffeine

Oh you know, I'm just eating a completely normal breakfast of Cheerios and an energy drink. Breakfast of champions right here, folks.

I love the end of the semester.

This is my life as an English major

See that tall stack of books? These are what I need in order to write only two out of three of my papers...

I laugh at it because if I don't, I will cry :)

10 more days of this!

Birthday weekend

I didn't do much on Friday, my actual birthday.  I went to a dance show that a couple of my friends were in, got ice cream after, and then skyped Kelly!

My English buddies, Alex and Rachael, and I went out on Saturday night. We ate at an Indian Restaurant (my first time ever and it was soooo good). We also went to Barnes & Noble where we spent over two hours browsing all the books and even reading a few children's books to each other. Yep, we are obviously English majors :) We got FroYo after that (another first for me) and watched Newsies! Lots of fun.

The girls and I went to Brio on Sunday night to celebrate mine and Bria's birthdays. Good food & good friends :)

 Birthday girls :)

Getting older

I'm so old. I barely made it to 12:05 a.m. to witness the beginning of my 20th birthday before I fell asleep!

I enjoyed being 19 so I could surprise people by telling them I am actually still in my teens :) I can't do that anymore.

Excited to see what life in my twenties brings me :)

I will be home in two weeks!
